Two frogs ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them
fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit
was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The
two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit
with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop,
that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took
heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down
and died.

The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again,
the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He
jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the
other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to
them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the
entire time.

This story teaches two lessons:

1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging
word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it
through the day.
2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes
to kill them.

Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your
path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand
that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak
words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in
difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time
to encourage another.

Tomorrow is not promised.

You will realize this in the end.
Imagine the things said in this story.
Nothing like this should/ will happen.

Just imagine.
Which is your favorite holiday spot?
You are traveling there.

Which is your favorite car?
Ok you are traveling in this car.

What is your favorite color?
Ok. You are traveling in that color car.

Who are the 4 people who mean more in your life?
X, Y, Z and F, or anyone.
So you are traveling with those 4 most important people.

Which is your favorite song?
You are listening to that song and driving the car.

Which is your favorite dress?
You are wearing that and riding the car.

Now, you are going on a Highway.
Its night time and there’s no one on the way.
You enjoy the music, eat snacks and enjoy with The 4 most important people in the car.
Suddenly there comes a turn.
You drive along carefully, but
Hsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!
A lorry hits your car.

You are unconscious.
It’s morning now.
You get up with much pain and see.
Your hands are red with blood.
There are car pieces shattered.
You try to remember something.
What you remember is that,
You were driving your favorite car, going to your favorite holiday spot, with 4 most important people of your life.
And suddenly you see a lorry hit your car, and that’s it.
You search for other people.
You see them lying in some corner.
You go and wake them up.
But no, they don’t get up.
You at last know that they are gone.
They are lifeless.
You see around.
It’s a deserted place.
All what you see is the 4 most important people in your life, lie LIFELESS.
You can’t talk to them anymore, play with them anymore and even smile or hug them.
Your life becomes meaningless now.
You lose your hope.

Come back to the reality now.
Pray god that this should not happen.
The main theme of his story is that you should understand
Tomorrow is not promised.
Neither promised is the next minute, or next second.
Whatever you want do it now.
And the most important thing,
Say to your dear ones how much you Love them
This is not a new one for you all.
You all must have got many forwarded mails saying that say to people that you love them.
But how many of you have really done that.
I accept, I have not done that.
But after reading this story, I really felt, I must do that.
In life, after all it is people who matter the most, than money and Love and Care matters than Status.
So call you mom and dad now.
You need not sit and talk to them for one hour.
Some 300 seconds will do.
Whenever your dad accepts what you say, or he buys something for you, grab that opportunity and express your love and gratitude.
Say to your mom that her cooking is nice.
And also say to her, she is great.

All these things need not be said. You already know this, that we must reciprocate love and care by saying to them. But we have not followed that.
So lets start it today, why today, NOW
Remember

Cracked pot ..............

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of
a pole . . . . . . which he carried across his neck. One of the pots
had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always
delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from
the stream to the master's house, the cracked pot arrived only half
full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering
only one and a half pots full of water in his master's house. Of
course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to
the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed
of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to
accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it
spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of
myself, and I want to apologize to you."

"Why?" asked the bearer. "What are you ashamed of?"

"I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my
load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the
way back to your master's house. Because of my flaws, you have to do
all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts,"
the pot said.

The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his
compassion he said, "As we return to the master's house, I want you
to notice the beautiful flowers along the path."

Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of
the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path,
and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt
bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again it
apologized to the bearer for its failure.

The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers
only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot's side?
That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I took
advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path,
and every day while we walk back from the stream, you've watered
them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers
to decorate my master's table. Without you being just the way you
are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house."

Now "KADI" Time starts....

Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots. But
it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together
so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each
person for what they are, and look for the good in them. There is a
lot of good out there. There is a lot of good in you! Blessed are
the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Remember to appreciate all the different people in your life! Or as
I like to think of it--if it hadn't been for the crackpots in my
life, it would have been pretty boring and not so interesting........

Misunderstood Philosophy..the snake and the sage..

This is a story told by Ramakrishna Paramahamsa..

A serpent dwelt in a certain locality. No one dared to pass by that way, for whoever did so was instantaneously bitten to death by that serpent. Once a holy man passed by. As usual the serpent pursued that sage with a view of biting him, but when it approached the holy man, it lost all its ferocity and was over-powered by his gentleness.
Seeing the snake, the holy man said, “Well, friend, do you want to bite me?” The snake was abashed and made no reply. At this the sage said again, “Hearken, friend, do not injure anyone in future.” The snake bowed and nodded assent. After the sage had gone his own way, the snake entered its hole, and thenceforth began to live a life of innocence and purity without even wishing to harm anyone.
In a few days the snake had lost all its venom and was no more dangerous, and so people began to tease it. Some pelted stones at it and others dragged it mercilessly by the tail. Thus there was no end to its troubles. Fortunately, sometime after, the sage again passed that way seeing the bruised and battered condition of the poor snake, was very much moved to pity and inquired about the cause of its distress.
At this the snake replied. “Sir, I have been reduced to this state, because I have not been injuring anyone since I received your instruction. But alas! They are so merciless!”
The sage smilingly said “Dear friend, I only advised you not to bite anyone, but I never asked you not to hiss and frighten others. Although you should not bite any creature, still you should keep every one at a considerable distance from you by hissing.”
Similarly, if you live in the world, make yourself feared and respected. Do not injure, but do not at the same time let others injure you.

Love from Swami Vivekhananda

This is a phrase on " Nature of Love " by Swami Vivekananda.

I once had a friend who grew to be very close to me. Once when we
were sitting at the edge of a swimming pool, she filled the palm of
her hand with a little water and held it before me, and said this: "
You see this water carefully contained on my hand ? it symbolises love."

As long as you keep your hand caringly open and allow it to remain
there, it will always be there. However, if you attempt to close your
fingers around it and try to posses it, it will spill through the first
cracks it finds.
This is the greatest mistake that people do when they meet love... they
try to posses it, they demand, they expect... and just like the
water spilling out of your hand, Love will retrieve from you.

For love is meant to be free, you can not change it's nature. If
there are people you love, allow them to be free beings.

Give and don't expect.
Advice, ! but don't order.
Ask, but never demand.
It might sound simple, but it is a lesson that may
take a lifetime to truly practice. It is the secret to true love.
To truly practice it, you must sincerely feel no expectations from
those who you love, and yet an unconditional caring.

Thoughs that matter !

An old man lived alone in Minnesota. He wanted to spade his potatogarden, but it was very hard work. His only son, who would havehelped him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son andmentioned his situation:

Dear Son,
I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able toplant my potato garden this year. I hate to miss doing the garden, because your mother always loved planting time. I'm just getting tooold to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubleswould be over. I know you would dig the plot for me, if you weren'tin prison.
Love, Dad

Shortly, the old man received this telegram:
For Heaven's sake, Dad, don't dig up the garden!! That's where Iburied the GUNS!!

At 4a.m the next morning, a dozen police officers showed up and dugup the entire garden without finding any guns. Confused, the old manwrote another note to his son telling him what happened, and askedhim what to do next.

His son's reply was: "Go ahead and plant your potatoes, Dad.. It'sthe best I could do for you from here."

Moral:NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE IN THE WORLD,IF YOU HAVE DECIDED TO DOSOMETHING DEEP FROM YOUR HEART YOU CAN DO IT. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THETHOUGHT THAT MATTERS...

IT IS THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE

There was a man taking a morning walk at or on the beach. He saw that along with the morning tide came hundreds of starfish and when the tide receded, they were left behind and with the morning sun rays, they would die. The tide was fresh and the starfish were alive. The man took a few steps, picked one and threw it into the water. He did that repeatedly. Right behind him there was another person who couldn't understand what this man was doing. He caught up with him and asked, "What are you doing? There are hundreds of starfish. How many can you help? What difference does it make?" This man did not reply, took two more steps, picked up another one, threw it into the water, and said, "It makes a difference to this one."

What difference are we making? Big or small, it does not matter. If everyone made a small difference, we'd end up with a big difference, wouldn't we?
